Environmental Health & Community Wellness
The Department of Environmental Health and Community Wellness, which combined our Environmental Health and Community Wellness (formerly “Healthy Choices”) departments in 2021, works toward the goal of health equity by reaching beyond the clinic walls and alongside residents to improve wellbeing of the community by positively influencing and encouraging behaviors and transforming factors in the natural and built environment that impact health.
We recognize that how a person lives, the spaces where they spend their time, and how connected they are to decision making directly impact their health and health of the environment and we have been working for more than 25 years to develop programs and opportunities that are responsive to the community’s needs and improve community wellness.
