We are here to empower individuals with HIV to not only survive, but thrive. We are committed to helping individuals live their best life — through prevention services, support groups, and care for those living with HIV.

The HIV Department at Sixteenth Street is committed to the delivery of high-quality, culturally-sensitive care in Milwaukee and the surrounding areas based on the National Model: Prevent-Test Link-Treat and retaining our patients in care to improve the quality of life of people living with HIV/AIDS and prevent new infections.

Sixteenth Street’s Community Prevention Center is located at:

There, the following are offered:

  • Syringe exchange
  • Free confidential testing (STD and rapid HIV testing)
  • Condoms and safe sex kits
  • PrEP services
  • Rapid testing for Hepatitis C
  • Naloxone distribution and overdose prevention training
  • Fentanyl test strips distribution and training on how to use them
