Sixteenth Street’s Healthy Choices Program is partnering with AmeriCorps Farm to School to expand the work they do in schools to promote healthy eating and living. The Healthy Latino Schools Initiative offers activities such as nutrition education in classes and after school, family nutrion programs, cooking lessons, gardening activities, outings where kids can visit farms, bringing local food into schools and implementing healthy school food policies.
