How long have you been working at Sixteenth street?

I first started working at Sixteenth Street November 2014 as a Medical Assistant. Just this past February I became a Registered Nurse. I knew I wanted to be an RN since I started working here, and the clinic helped me achieved my goal.

What has inspired you to continue working at Sixteenth Street?

The difference we make in people’s lives. We are a bridge in the community to help our patients receive excellent healthcare that they need and that they deserve. Also, I love the atmosphere at the clinic. We work like a big family!

What do you want others to know about working at Sixteenth Street?

It’s is a very rewarding job, knowing that you are helping those in need.

Tell me about some of the people you’ve met while working at Sixteenth Street? Or, who has influenced your decision to work with us?

Throughout my years at SSCHC I have met awesome people such as lovely patients, coworkers and volunteers. I want to give credit to one of the most AWESOME MA’S that were there throughout my nursing career. Daisy Castro is an exceptional MA that goes above and beyond for her patients and for her team. She doesn’t hesitate to help others; Sixteenth Street is so lucky to have you Daisy!!

What is something that surprised you about working at Sixteenth Street?

Something that continues to surprise me is the extensive services that we provide to our patients. That can range from medical services to social services and so much more!

What is something people might be surprised to learn about you?

I love to garden; my favorite flower are Sunflowers. Last summer I planted over 25+ Sunflowers!
