Miranda Malone earned her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and a Master of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She’s trained in brainspotting, maternal mental health, acceptance and commitment therapy, advanced grief counseling, and mother loss grief.
She boasts experience in behavioral health roles for nearly a decade, including outpatient treatment, inpatient and partial hospitalization, and private practice. She clinically trained in New York before returning to Wisconsin to continue in community mental health care and private practice.
She offers a holistic therapy approach, welcoming and incorporating all aspects of the human experience: mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual. She aims to address feelings of discontent, uncertainty, and insecurity by guiding her clients towards self-attunement. She’s most passionate about working with adults who feel unable to move forward in the aftermath of a severe loss or who worry they may not be living their most fulfilling life due to their own fears of death and/or dying. She assists clients in discovering what living after loss may mean while also finding their purpose in relation to that loss. Through working with her, her clients gain more self-awareness, self-compassion, and confidence. She describes her therapeutic style as warm, open, and direct.
Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys spending time with her partner and their child, along with taking their dogs on plenty of walks, enjoying any and all local coffee shops, reading, writing, and cooking. She also loves time outdoors and traveling both near and far.
