Julia Mennen worked for 12 years as a technician and first assistant in surgery at St. Michael Hospital while earning a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Marquette University, along with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. She worked designing architectural stained-glass windows for a local company for ten years. She’s enjoyed providing care to patients at Sixteenth Street for over 22 years in both family practice and now in Urgent Care.
She believes her humble background allows her to empathize and connect with patients. She also believes it’s important to consider the whole person and their circumstances when addressing health needs and to encourage healthy choices in life.
Outside of work, she enjoys urban gardening, rehabbing her house, and playing clawhammer banjo.
