Dr. Melms completed his undergraduate degree in Neuroscience Studies at Macalaster College in St. Paul, MN and his medical school training at Debusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tennessee. Having grown up in the Milwaukee area, he returned to complete Family Medicine residency at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee. He is board certified in Family Medicine. He will be obtaining board certification in OMT (Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy) in the next year. Dr. Melms values patient autonomy — empowering patients to make informed decisions for their individualized needs. He incorporates an osteopathic approach by addressing the health of patients’ body, mind, and spirit. He also enjoys utilizing OMT when needed to improve patients’ physical structure in an effort to improve biomechanical function. He loves spending time with family and friends, enjoying nature, listening to music/podcasts, and watching Wisconsin sports.
