Patricia Ward earned her undergraduate in Nursing at Alverno College and her Master’s degree from there as well. She is Psychiatric Mental Health NP board certified. She has worked 17 years as an RN prior to becoming an NP in various areas, including mental health, intensive care, and as a hospital supervisor. She believes that mental health is healthcare. She wants to reduce the stigma associated with mental health and encourage patients to speak up regarding their mental health. Her focus is on the patient and getting them better as well as provide them with the tools they need to be successful. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and playing sports. She believes self-care is important and also enjoys working out by running on the treadmill and lifting weights.
