Locations: Waukesha
Language: English, Spanish
Neil Mitchell attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison for his undergraduate studies. He then earned his master’s degree in educational psychology – Community Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, along with a Certificate in Trauma-Informed Care, along with being a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP).
He has been at Sixteenth Street for six years. Previously, he spent two years working with higher acuity children and adolescents. 90% of his case load are clients under the age of 18.
He’s a strong advocate for preventative, developmentally informed care. Working with newer generations allows for clinical intervention and family support at pivotal points of child/adolescent development. He believes that younger generations can only benefit from developmentally appropriate care and having providers that will continue to give voice to their concerns with the child/adolescent themselves as the expert.
In his free time, he enjoys spending his time outdoors hiking and camping.
