Tia Oestreich, LCSW, CSAC
Psychotherapist, SUD Coordinator
Locations: Layton
Language: English, Spanish
Tia Oestreich earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in social work. She also earned a certificate in trauma informed care and substance abuse counseling. Additionally, she’s a licensed clinical social worker and clinical substance abuse counselor.
She boasts five years of experience at Sixteenth Street as a bilingual psychotherapist, along with five years of experience as a social worker in Milwaukee prior to working as a therapist, as she worked as a case manager with children, families, and teenagers.
She embraces the values of the social work profession in her practice – dignity and worth of every person, importance of human relationships, integrity, self-determination of her clients, and empathy, warmth, and genuineness. She acknowledges the need to address all levels of need for a client rather than focusing solely on their mental health diagnosis or needs. Overall, she seeks to be a safe space for her clients to explore their underlying needs and healthy ways to meet them.
In her spare time, she enjoys plants and growing a garden – something that you’ll notice if you’re ever in her office. Additionally, she loves to be outside with her dog and spending quality time with those that she loves.
