Understanding the natural world around you and engaging in fun ways with your local green space are important for not only personal health and well being - but for the sustainable health of the community as a whole.

Sixteenth Street offers environmental education year-round through summer camp and after-school programming for kids, family workshops and tailored programming for schools on-demand.

FREE Family-Friendly Fun

The river and neighborhood are changing. Come learn about these changes and new ways to enjoy the Kinnickinnic River at Pulaski Park or Jackson Park.

Workshops

Workshops are held at Pulaski Park on Tuesdays and Jackson Park on Thursdays. Workshop topics include:

  • Rain Barrel Workshop
  • Gardening 101
  • Water Scientist
  • Biking in Our Neighborhood
  • Canoe Trip
