2019 Roast of Amy and Mike Lovell

Amy and Mike Lovell circle

Sixteenth Street was proud to honor Marquette University President Mike Lovell and his wife, Amy, co-founder of REDgen, a community action group committed to working together across systems to promote balance and resiliency in the lives youth and families. The couple also helped form and lead Scaling Wellness in Milwaukee (SWIM), a grassroots organization dedicated to easing and preventing trauma.

Not only were we able to recognize the vital work of Amy and Mike Lovell --- but all funds raised are now working directly to narrow health disparities and access gaps that permeate Milwaukee's south side through Sixteenth Street services and programs.

Health Equity Summit:
Empower a Healthier Milwaukee

We’ve made the difficult decision to cancel our rescheduled 2020 Health Equity Summit; Empower a Healthier Milwaukee due to COVID-19 related precautions and restrictions around large gatherings. We appreciate your interest and are disappointed that it will not take place as planned.
We will be holding a Health Equity Summit in the spring of 2021 that will include the previously planned conversation on empowerment along with other dynamic topics under the broader umbrella of health equity innovation. Although we plan to hold the 2021 Summit in person, we acknowledge the significant uncertainties we face and are prepared to adapt quickly if needed.
