In light of the Flint, Michigan lead disaster, WUWM Milwaukee Public Radio’s Susan Bence takes a look at our own lead problem right here in Milwaukee, and whats being done to combat it. She digs deep into what we at Sixteenth Street have been doing for more than 1,200 families in our area, to lower lead exposure. Carmen Reinmund, Sixteenth Street lead outreach specialist, takes Bence through a typical day “at the office,” in the homes of our neighborhood, and gives insight into this complex and highly detrimental contamination.
