Julie B. Schuller, MD, MPH, MBA, FACP is President and CEO at Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers.  A Milwaukee native, Dr. Schuller obtained a Bachelor’s Degree at Notre Dame, a Medical Degree and Master’s Degree in Public Health at Northwestern University Medical School, and completed an Internal Medicine Residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Doctor Schuller joined Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers in 1995 and has built her career there.  She is passionate about the provision of quality health care for people living in poverty and underserved patient populations.

Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers serves nearly 40,000 patients in the Milwaukee community at five locations, including two on the south side of Milwaukee, one in downtown Waukesha, one within the United Community Center’s Senior Center, and a school-based clinic within St. Anthony’s K-12 School.  Sixteenth Street Clinic places a strong focus on the provision of quality, integrated medical and mental health care.  This care is enhanced by an array of supportive services including social services, case management, health education and community health initiatives. Outreach into surrounding communities demonstrates Sixteenth Street’s commitment to population health, through such activities as addressing lead toxicity in the neighborhoods and clean-up of local rivers and parks.

Dr. Schuller plays a leadership role in several organizations devoted to excellence in provision of services to medically underserved and vulnerable populations.  She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Wisconsin Collaborative on Healthcare Quality, the Wisconsin Primary Health Care Association, the Wisconsin Medical Society, and the Quality Committee of the Aurora Board of Directors.  She actively participates in several committees of the Milwaukee Health Care Partnership.  She is the Past-President of the Medical Society of Milwaukee County.  Nationally she serves on the Clinical Committees of the National Association of Community Health Centers.
