The parenting classes are largely focused on the individual and creating a support system for parents at all stages. Parents are able to openly discuss their questions and problems, and come to solutions with the help of the suggestions and experiences of the whole group.
Parents that attend are often entered in drawings to win educational toys, children’s books or needed supplies. The children often participate in activities in the classroom to allow the parent to visualize healthy interactions and methods of discipline.
Class participants complete an assessment form and the feedback is used to identify parental needs along with the evidence based curriculum. Many of our participants have very little family and social support and rely on the class for support and information.
Class topics and times vary, please call (414) 897-5296 for more information on current classes.
